Found in the stables at Stove where John Scott had his workshop and things that needed mending accumulated as well as pots of tar, whale ribs and all his tools. The space he used was where the cart was kept. It was still there, propped against a wall, wheelless. shaftless, festooned in strands of ivy that had found it's way in through the slates. The Scott's were allocated the stables at Stove as part of their croft. These buildings escaped the fire.
