Published by the Dalziel Brothers, Camden Press, the book contains 138 stories by Hans Christian Andersen including The Bell Deep, What the Moon Saw, The Rose Elf, The Shirt Collar. Most of the illustrations are engravings which have been carefully coloured in with coloured pencils by a child.
