Kid Gloves

Kid Gloves
early 19th Century

found on moorland above Stove at bonfire site

The gloves were found in a sack of clothing, beside the still smouldering embers of a bonfire. The clothes date from the beginning of the 19th Century to the 1930's. The gloves are made of fine kid skin, for small and delicate hands with brass popper fastening over the wrists.
